Born and raised in the farming community of Wahoo, NE, I graduated in 2005 from Hillsdale College in Michigan with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. While attending, I took as many classes as I could in the athletic training and sports medicine fields. I worked in a local physical therapy clinic providing treatment and assisting in rehabilitation for geriatric patients as well as sports-related injuries. I also volunteered with a local athletic trainer, assisting him with various high school sports. I recently attended the DeRoyal orthotic fitters course and completed the requirements for the Orthotic Fitters Certification from the American Board of Certification.
